From the CD Higher Ground
Though the wind will blow, there is sunshine, as long as I have you.
And I am climbing ever higher because I have you beside me.
No matter where I go, or how high I climb, I know that I have you.
I know that I am Soul. I know that I’ll fly now that I found you.
Though the pain pierces deep in my heart,
and the night tries to blind, I hold on.
Surely morning will come in spite of my tears,
and the light of your eyes will find me.
No matter where I go or how high I climb. I’m grateful I have you.
And I am climbing ever higher because I have you beside me.
No matter where I go, I know that I’m fine, now that I know you

Insider Notes
In the studio I had intended to have a friend play the piano track on this song. In the end, we used my simple example of what I wanted because it seemed most fitting. Now reading a new found quote by Hafiz, I see that it was a wonderful opportunity to move beyond fear and step into the light. =] Oh, how I love when I actually notice the poignant, yet profound, gifts in my life!
This Hafiz poem that speaks volumes called, “It Felt Love”. “How did the rose open its heart and give the world all its beauty? It felt the encouragement of Light against its being. Otherwise, we all remain too frightened.”
I AM IN A PLACE UNLOVED. MISTREATED AND GOD BLESS ME TO HEAR THE SONG REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE .I’M A CHILD OF GOD THANK YOU FOR YOUR WORDS OF ENCOURAGING ME GOD BLESS YOU FOREVER AND A DAY
